 Post subject: Horizontal rebar spacing
PostPosted: Tue Nov 09, 2004 7:55 am
What is the C/C measurement of the horizontal rebar?

What I am looking for is the measurement that is the closest thing to the locally required 8" X 8" rebar square

Best regards,

Ingi...........

Ingi,

The horizontal rebar placement can be 6”, 8.25”, 12”, 16.25”, 18”, 24” & so on depending on how you insert the spacer in the forms. You can also install one face of the wall, install the required rebar & then just install the opposite face.

Regards,

Marc Philippe

Thank you for this information Marc.
Could you please go into more detail on how this is accomplished as seen in you statement below. Very interesting to say the least:)

"You can also install one face of the wall, install the required rebar & then just install the opposite face"

Would you be able to send me some pictures?

Cheers,

Ingi.........

Ingi,

I sure can send you pictures. Please provide me with your e-mail address. If you do not wish to make your e-mail address public, please send it to me via private message or to marc@integraspec.com Meanwhile take a look at the following link. www.integraspec.com/noncombustible/noncombut.html . It will give you an idea on how it could be achieved. Although, the link is an example of achieving a wall with a concrete face on one side and foam on the other side but basically it would be a very similar situation for installing the rebar in a very tight fashion prior to closing your wall.

Regards,

Marc Philippe
